It’s not the engine that’s out of balance…
Schnell’s Automotive here is an awesome garage. They figured out what the problem with Cricket is.
It’s not the engine that is out of balance and making the car vibrate.
It’s the drivers rear brake.
I was told it moves up and down about 2 inches when put in the air and rolled. The owner hasn’t seen anything like it before. I was told that a new drum is needed, and may be difficult to find. I found 2 places online that sell new ones, so I forwarded the info to the owners daughter to forward to him.
In any case, I am glad that it’s not the engine. She runs very well right now, no major vibration, I think it’s because they adjusted the brakes so they are soft now, but no vibrations.
Transmission: well, it’s ok, but will need to be rebuilt probably sometime in 2008.
