Brakes getting done

Was driving past a mechanic shop in Portland (where I now live) and saw an old Impala outside, so I stopped by to talk to them about brakes on Cricket. They saw her the next day and told me all brakes were cracked a bit, and needed to be redone. They said it would take a few days, so I have been without a car now for 5 days. The shop called this morning and said they were going to pick up the brakes from the place that was redoing them, and she should be done today. It’s been hard without a car in a new town, and living farther out. I am about to call them and see how it’s going, it’s almost 4pm and the shop closes at 5:30 - it will take me about a half hour to walk there. I am guessing if anything else was wrong they would have called…. it will be nice to have my car back and know that she is safer now with new brakes.
