March 14th, 2006I am a photographer who has created this "A Polaroid A Day" web site and plan to shoot at least 1 Polaroid photo a day for 365 days. On days where I shoot more than one, I will post the best one. One simple rule: the daily photo is shot daily, and posted within the 24 hour period that it was shot. It would be easy to take a bunch of photographs in advance, and then post them each day. My challenge and goal for myself is to take time out of every day to document something visually. Some entries may even have accompanying words, my thoughts on images I present.
A lot can happen in 365 days.
i think this site, it’s concept and contents are the most soulful work you’ve created yet. there’s god in it. you’ve pulled together a concept so profound in it’s simplicity that it’s too complex for mortals.
using polariod technology, you’ve distilled into one simple idea, a philosophy that sums life up as nothing more, and nothing less, than a series. one would think this very simple idea obvious, but it’s not. instead, it goes unnoticed. and you noticed it, justin. thank you for making us see it, too.
